"Designed by Dr. Miles in 1870. Members of the senior and junior classes performed the labor to construct it under his supervision. Build of solid grout foundation and stood where the first engineering shops were located. In 1913 some of the foundation could be seen protruding from the east side. It was 34x80 feet on the ground with 10 pens. In 1889 this structure was moved to the southeast to make room for the first engineering building, and again it was moved farther back in 1907."[1]
